About The Position

Burger Burger is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing all food items according to standard recipes and procedures, ensuring timely and high-quality service. This role involves assisting with dessert preparation, managing inventory of ingredients, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment. You will play a key part in upholding our vision of being the leading purveyor of the spirit of hospitality by ensuring every guest leaves happy. This fast-paced role requires excellent communication with guests, coworkers, managers, and chefs, all performed with a smile.

Requirements

  • Able to read and understand the English language.
  • Basic mathematical skills for measurements.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and communicative skills.
  • Auditory and visual skills.
  • Knowledge of the Company’s food & beverage specifications.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Multi-task oriented.
  • Maintain skills necessary to safely and efficiently operate kitchen equipment, ovens, stoves, dishwasher, slicers, coffee machines, steamers, mixers, chef's knives, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares all food items, following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits.
  • Assists cooks in the preparation of basic dessert items.
  • Preps assigned items according to the Prep Lists and par levels set by management.
  • Stores and properly handles raw or prepared foods and non-food supplies.
  • Properly measures and assembles ingredients required for preparing standard recipes.
  • Cuts and/or portions meat, fish, and poultry.
  • Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces, and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
  • Maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition.
  • Handles food in a manner that is consistent with local health department guidelines.
  • Follows proper food handling techniques and coordinates the use of time, material, and equipment to avoid waste and unnecessary expense.
  • Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene.
  • Complies with department’s dress code.
  • Follows safety regulations, reporting injuries or any unsafe conditions and work practices to the supervisor.
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
  • Follows all designated uniform, grooming, safety, and sanitation rules and regulations.
