Orange County has an opening for an Bureau Chief EMS Clinical, Quality, and Compliance position. The work is primarily responsible for leading and coordinating the EMS Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement program under the guidance of the Chief Medical Officer (Medical Direction), including data collection, analysis, recommendation, reporting, and follow-up related to clinical care, provider documentation, protocol compliance, and operational performance. Performs case review, root cause analysis, trend identification, and event inquiry/investigation activities. Develops and delivers individualized and system-level feedback to support provider performance improvement, documentation quality, and operational reliability. The work is performed under limited supervision of the Division Chief of EMS performing advanced administrative, analytical, and programmatic work supporting the clinical quality, compliance, documentation integrity, and system performance functions of the Orange County EMS System. Supervision is a responsibility of this class. Does related work as required. May be called to work in the Emergency Operations Center when activated. A pre-employment drug screen, SBI background check and Fit for Duty test is required. This is a safety sensitive position and participation in the Drug and Alcohol Program is required.
