Bundler Operator (BUN)- Illinois
About The Position
Continental is a leading tire manufacturer and industry specialist that develops and produces sustainable, safe and convenient solutions for automotive manufacturers as well as industrial and end customers worldwide. The Bundler Operator performs inspection of working area to ensure there are no safety hazards, starts the Bundler by engaging controls, sorts and places tires on conveyor line to be ran through bundling machine, makes minor adjustments on Bundler and loads strapping into Bundler as needed, and observes Bundler machine operations to ensure tires are bundled properly. Bundler operators are required to operate fork-lifts on shifts the bundlers are idle. This role is classified as heavy work inclusive of lifting up to 100 lbs. and/or carrying weight up to 50 lbs. It involves frequent bending, reaching, and twisting; and occasional squatting, climbing stairs, and climbing ladders.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED or completion of our on-site competency test
- 0-2 years of manufacturing experience needed
- Must adhere to safety procedures/ guidelines, including safety wear such as hearing protection and steel toe shoes.
- Must be able to perform various physical tasks, including lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and operating machinery.

Responsibilities
