About The Position

TBC’s trucking team enjoys a generous compensation package, overtime, sleep time pay, newer trucks (2017 and newer), performance bonus and weekly pay. This role will also maintain a regular route and reoccurring customers. The Bulk Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of cement powder and other related products in both rural and urban environments in all weather conditions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL), Class A required
  • 2+ years of commercial truck driving experience
  • 2+ years of dry bulk tanker experience
  • Knowledge of applicable DOT rules and safe driving regulations
  • Adaptable: Able to anticipate and respond to unexpected situations (traffic, weather, road conditions, onsite restrictions).
  • Time-management: Committed to timely deliveries and providing quality service to our customers.
  • Organized and detail-oriented: Maintains accurate records for documents, gas cards, receipts, and load tickets.

Responsibilities

  • Drive company-owned trucks in a professional manner to transport and deliver products or other materials
  • Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones to exchange necessary information with dispatch, supervisors, or other drivers
  • Pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and trailer to ensure safety as a priority
  • Completes daily DOT pre-trip inspections and required logs. Submits and verifies accuracy of all documentation.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness, upkeep, and routine maintenance checks of assigned vehicle. Reports issues, accidents, and damage to the leadership team.
  • Maintains and submits all trip-related receipts and expenses.
  • Obtains and maintains accurate delivery authorization and pickup documentation. Verifies shipment documents such as load tickets, bills of lading and work orders.
  • Drive trucks to weigh stations when appropriate along routes to document weights and to comply with state regulations
  • Occasional flat bed deliveries when available
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew
  • Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
  • Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required
