About The Position

As a Bulk Technician, you will help keep apartment communities clean by removing furniture, oversized trash, and other bulk items from resident properties. This is a physical, hands-on position involving route driving, heavy lifting, and hauling materials to a landfill. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, with a 6:00 AM start time. Overtime may be required. Pay is $17–$20 per hour, depending on experience. Ally Waste is a nationally recognized valet trash and recycling provider serving apartment communities, student housing, and senior living facilities across the country. Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of background screening, motor vehicle record review, and drug testing, as relevant to the position and in accordance with applicable laws. Requirements

Have a valid non-CDL driver's license and at least two consecutive years of licensed driving.
Have a clean driving record; this will be verified after an offer.
Be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT medical card); assistance is available to obtain one if needed.
Be able to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
Be comfortable operating a vehicle for extended periods and working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including landfill environments.
Be able to work independently and maintain pace throughout a full shift.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in waste management, moving or hauling, construction labor, or a similar physically demanding role.
Customer-facing experience in a service environment.

Responsibilities

Drive a company truck and trailer to service properties along an assigned daily route.
Check in, photograph, and document bulky items using a mobile app.
Load and secure oversized items using proper lifting and stacking techniques.
Haul collected items to the assigned disposal facility and unload them upon arrival.
Complete scheduled pickups efficiently within established timeframes.
Promptly communicate property concerns, access issues, or service exceptions to management.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow company safety procedures.
Immediately report equipment issues, accidents, or incidents.
