Bulk Regional Driver with CDL - Vinemont, AL
About The Position
Benchmark Companies is a mulch manufacturing company based in Christiana, TN seeking qualified Class A CDL driver for open full-time regional position within our company. Candidates for this position will make regional deliveries of landscape products and can expect to spend 2-3 nights away from home per week. Far from "bumping docks" a Benchmark driver is responsible for loading mulch products at various production facilities and delivering those finished goods to our customers. While not required, previous experience on heavy equipment provides added value to the position. Position Summary: Load, transport, and deliver mulch and compost products using "live" floor semi trailers. Interact with customers and dispatch to meet delivery schedules and requirements. Home each night with an occasional overnight run possible if interested.
Requirements
- Current Class A CDL
- Must submit to a driving record check
Nice To Haves
- 3 years experience preferred
- Ability to operate rubber tire loaders and excavators a plus
- Previous experience on heavy equipment provides added value to the position
Responsibilities
- Operate Class A,CDL walking floor trailers
- Self-load trailer at multiple locations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Report repair issues to dispatch and shop personnel
- Operate vehicle in all weather conditions
- Load, transport, and deliver mulch and compost products using "live" floor semi trailers
- Interact with customers and dispatch to meet delivery schedules and requirements
