About The Position

Performs all tasks safely and efficiently. Prepares truckloads of flour for shipping in bulk containers. Assist mill crews with mill operations and sanitation. The position gives and receives support information to/from the Plant Manager, Quality Control Manager, Contract Carrier, Customers and Customer Service Representative to ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements in accordance with established company policies and procedures while maintaining the highest possible levels of safety, quality and productivity.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Current state driver's license and safe driving record.
Ensures that appropriate individuals are informed about matters impacting their areas of responsibility; works well with others; shares knowledge and experience with others; demonstrates respect and consideration for others' opinions; contributes to the overall task of the team.

Responsibilities

Performs all tasks safely and efficiently.
Blends various flours and treats those flours with ingredients to meet customer and BSM Co. specifications.
Performs accurate quality assurance testing.
Moves tractor trailers for loading and staging.
Transfers flour bin to bin as needed.
Maintains equipment in the bulk loading system as required.
Completes the tasks on the Master Cleaning Schedule for bulk loading and keeps the records up to date.
Assist the mill crews when directed in operations, sanitation, safety, performance of the mills.
Keeps all of the bulk loading areas and the mill office clean and sanitary at all times.
Keeps accurate records of flour loads, trailers, inventories, etc. as directed.
Work on rotating shifts shall be required. Forty hours per week plus daily/weekend overtime as the job requires.
