About The Position

This role involves operating and maintaining equipment to meet safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and morale targets. The individual will execute standard work processes using Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Progressive Maintenance (PM) standards, ensuring safety and quality assurance activities are performed. Understanding and reporting equipment losses is also a key aspect of the position.

Requirements

• Experience and knowledge in operating machines with coaching
• Understanding of safety and quality standards for operating machines
• Reading and writing, and fluently conversant in the language of communication as appropriate to the site
• Collaborating well in a diverse work environment

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment to deliver on safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets.
• Execute all standard work processes on equipment using AM and PM standards.
• Ensure safety processes are observed and quality assurance activities are performed.
• Understand and report losses in their area and equipment.
• Meets and communicates daily with the Processing and Packaging Team Leaders to set shift activities.
• Communicates shift events with counterpart on opposite shifts.
• Uses the product conveyor computer to control the flow of product to the first floor.
• Monitors the flow of bulk throughout the twist, storage area, stick areas throughout the day.
• Ensures changeovers are being performed properly and in a timely manner.
• Ensures correct bulk is being used on all machines.
• Ensure raw bulk has been issued to twist PO’s – Inventory management.
• Report waste/salvage in SAP from the area.
• Track and report daily inventories of WIP totes and stage in SAP.
• Back up to twist operators.
• Makes decisions around machine breakdowns (i.e. starting up another twist machine).
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Formula and Process Instructions and Working Instructions.
• Coordinate the twisted bulk for multipack (MSI) totes – with assigned person.
• Participate in and help drive RCA investigations and IL6S initiatives.
• All other duties as assigned.
