About The Position
Western International is a specialized industrial gas wholesaler and a leading supplier of acetylene, the most efficient fuel gas for welding and cutting applications and we are hiring CDL A Truck Drivers in Hahnville, LA! As a Truck Driver for Western, you will haul cylinders of compressed gases and make deliveries to our customers in a regional capacity. This work is clean consistent year-round work with no down periods. Join a company that is serious about being the best and doing the job right! This is a TEAM DRIVER POSITION $120,000 to $122,000 average annual income Starting pay - $.40/mile, $27.72 per hour. Schedule is working Sunday - Thursday (4 layovers)
Requirements
- CDL Class A license and current DOT medical card
- Minimum 2 years of experience of CDL Class A experience or 1.5 years of experience with certification from an accredited driving school
- Must have prior experience driving manual 10 speed transmission and be able to pass the road test
- Current Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements
- No more than 1 traffic violation in last 2 years
- No at-fault accidents in the last 2 years
- No DUI/DWI in last 5 years (1 per lifetime)
- Ability to pass DOT physical, DOT drug test and criminal background check
