About The Position
Benchmark Companies, a mulch manufacturing company in Christiana, TN, is seeking qualified Class A CDL drivers for full-time positions. Unlike traditional dock-bumping roles, a Benchmark driver is responsible for loading mulch products at various production facilities and delivering them to customers. While not required, previous experience with heavy equipment is a plus.
Requirements
- Current Class A CDL
- Must submit to a driving record check
Nice To Haves
- 3 years experience preferred
- Ability to operate rubber tire loaders and excavators a plus
Responsibilities
- Load, transport, and deliver mulch and compost products using "live" floor semi trailers.
- Interact with customers and dispatch to meet delivery schedules and requirements.
- Operate Class A, CDL walking floor trailers.
- Self-load trailer at multiple locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Report repair issues to dispatch and shop personnel.
- Operate vehicle in all weather conditions.
