About The Position

Join our El Super Store Operations Team as a Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk! This position provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service under direct supervision. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk assists customers, cleans, fills, and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli. The role involves two different shifts. The morning shift starts by replenishing product as instructed by management in a designated area. The clerk is responsible for assisting customers throughout the entire shift and maintaining the cleanliness of the department. The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, with essential functions including physical requirements like lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling, as well as visual and auditory requirements. A Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for all positions related to food preparation, handling, and serving.

Requirements

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification
