Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Two years of buildings or grounds maintenance experience preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Valid driver’s license
ND Class B CDL (permit within 3 months; full CDL within 6 months, with air brakes and automatic transmission)
Vector Control Certification (Public Health) (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification (Ground Core, Right of Way, Ornamental Turf) (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
Forklift and Bucket Truck Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and minor repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and boiler systems
Apply chemicals for vector and weed control programs
Maintain City cemeteries and public properties
Operate heavy equipment for groundskeeping and snow removal
Complete routine and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment
Assist in training new and seasonal team members
Participate in on-call rotation as needed
