Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 3 years of facilities/maintenance experience is required.
  • Must have general knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the preventative maintenance program of all mechanical equipment and to complete necessary and scheduled work order repairs.
  • Contribute to the achievement of excellence through quality and care values in line with the mission of Duncaster.
  • Demonstrate dependability by completing commitments within established guidelines and completing necessary repairs.
  • Check the Worx Hub work orders daily and logs their progress from their assigned tablet.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain generator in good repair.
  • Complete daily inspection of generator room and weekly generator testing.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for inspections, testing etc. as required.
  • Notify manager and/or appropriate administrative personnel of serious mechanical problems in facility which may affect resident care or operations.
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize work and functions in an organized manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
