The Building Systems Manager for PCL's California Buildings office contributes to the Los Angeles project team by ensuring the reviews of building system trades' progress for compliance with drawings, specifications, quality, schedule, and constructability. This role involves processing critical building systems submittments, coordination documents, and reports, as well as managing the coordination of the drawing process and providing direction on model coordination. The manager will also provide input on schedule development and implementation related to building systems execution and ensure correct sequencing and correlation with architectural aspects. A key part of the role includes reviewing and understanding prime contract and building systems subcontract details, identifying and communicating risks and opportunities, and managing trade contractors. Additionally, the Building Systems Manager will review, negotiate, and process change notices/orders related to building systems, assess their impact on the project, lead the building systems commissioning process, and provide recommendations for project-specific improvements. Developing and maintaining strong customer-focused relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers is also a crucial aspect of this position.
