Moravian Academy Building Substitute - Historic Downtown Campus

Moravian AcademyBethlehem, PA
Onsite

About The Position

A building substitute at Moravian Academy is never just a stranger filling a gap. You become a known and trusted member of our Historic Downtown Campus faculty - the educator students recognize in the hallway, and the colleague teachers count on when they need someone who already knows the rhythm of the school. This is full-time work with genuine variety. One morning you might guide a preschool circle; that afternoon, you could lead a Grade 8 discussion. Across it all, you sustain the continuity of learning our families trust - stepping into classrooms from Preschool through Grade 8 and keeping students engaged, supported, and moving forward. What makes this role matter is the community you join. Moravian Academy asks the same of its employees that it asks of its students: to engage in community, discover through curiosity, strive for excellence, and act with integrity. As a building substitute, you live all four every day, building real relationships with students and colleagues, staying curious about how different learners grow, holding a high bar for instruction, whatever the assignment, and modeling the care and professionalism that define this place. We're looking for an adaptable, technology-savvy educator with a genuine grasp of teaching pedagogy - someone comfortable following an established lesson plan and equally ready to improvise when circumstances change. If you find real satisfaction in being the steady, capable presence a school can rely on, this is work that will use everything you bring.
