About The Position

The Woodbridge School District consists of one school: Beecher Road School, a PreK-6 elementary school employing approximately 175 staff members to serve and educate approximately 870 students. Woodbridge is one of Connecticut’s best towns, and Beecher Road School is the heart of the town. For the 2026/27 school year, the District seeks building substitutes for day-to-day employment based on building needs. You have the flexibility to determine your preferred work schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher; or high school diploma or equivalent, plus experience with school-age children
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to take direction and work effectively with others
• Background, interest, and/or expertise in elementary education

Nice To Haves

• Hold or be eligible for State of Connecticut teaching certification

Responsibilities

• Maintains proper classroom management while effectively implementing daily teacher lesson plans
