About The Position

Be the go-to substitute for one school in Warren and the surrounding area. Sub Teacher Source is hiring Building Substitute Teachers for our partner schools in Warren, Center Line, Eastpointe, Harper Woods and St. Clair Shores. As a Building Sub, you report to the same school each day you work and cover whichever classroom needs you that day. You get to know the staff, the students and the routines, and the school gets to know you. We are also hiring substitutes who enjoy teaching specials such as music, art, PE and STEM. Lesson plans are provided.

Requirements

• At least 60 college credit hours, with official sealed transcripts.
• Original Social Security card and a valid photo ID.
• Pass a Michigan Livescan fingerprint background check (fee of about $70, paid by the candidate).
• Reliable transportation.
• A positive, dependable presence for students.

Responsibilities

• Report to the same school each day you work.
• Cover whichever classroom needs you that day.
• Get to know the staff, the students and the routines.
• Teach specials such as music, art, PE and STEM.
• Utilize provided lesson plans.
