About The Position

The Building Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing construction projects, ensuring they meet all state contractor licensing and NASCLA examination requirements. This role demands significant experience in commercial construction, including project supervision, trade coordination, and a deep understanding of various construction systems and plans. The supervisor will manage scheduling, budgeting, cost control, quality assurance, and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • At least four (4) years of full-time, verifiable construction experience obtained at a journeyman level or higher and gained within the last ten (10) years.
  • Responsible involvement in commercial construction.
  • Experience in supervision and management of commercial or industrial construction projects.
  • Experience in coordination of multiple trades, subcontractors, and construction phases.
  • Execution knowledge of structural, civil, architectural, and building systems.
  • Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and building codes.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) and risk management practices.
  • Experience demonstrating independent judgment, decision-making authority, and accountability for project outcomes.
  • Experience must involve commercial or industrial construction projects comparable in size and complexity to those allowed under an unlimited General Contractor licensing classification.
  • Experience with ground-up construction, additions, or major renovations.
  • Experience with structural and systems integration work.
  • Experience requiring coordination of multiple trades and disciplines.
  • Experience with permitting, inspections, and code compliance processes.
  • All experience must be 3rd party verifiable, with detailed project descriptions including scope, role, responsibilities, contract values, and dates.
  • All experience must be certified by references, such as licensed contractors, engineers, architects, or employers familiar with the candidate’s work.
  • Experience must be sufficient to demonstrate the candidate’s competence to undertake unlimited commercial construction responsibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference is given to experience on larger scale projects and work involving public, institutional, or complex private developments.
