About The Position

Scientific Applications & Research Associates, Inc. (SARA) is seeking a talented, motivated, and experienced Building Services Technician for its Colorado Springs, CO location. This role offers the opportunity to grow and learn alongside skilled engineers, physicists, and technicians on both established and new programs. The Building Services Technician is responsible for maintaining the building in clean and orderly condition, performing heavy cleaning duties, assisting with routine maintenance, and ensuring building security and safety.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 0 – 4 years of custodian, janitor, or building services experience
• US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance
• May require Moderate physical effort, including standing, sitting, and use of hands while performing duties, and carrying or lifting up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Escort visitors as needed
• Janitorial services to include all restrooms, breakrooms, common areas, and manufacturing spaces
• Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created
• Maintain, service, and conduct minor repairs on buildings and equipment
• Assist with assembly, installation, or repair of machinery or equipment
• Assist Facility Manager and other workers as needed
• Notify manager concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
• Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
