About The Position

Join our dynamic Building Services team as a Floater, supporting front desk operations and workplace services across our Dell client sites in the Austin area. This role is the face of our service delivery—greeting guests, managing building access, coordinating service requests, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. You'll provide critical coverage across multiple sites, maintain security protocols, and deliver exceptional customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1–3 years of customer-facing experience
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Reliable personal vehicle with valid driver's license (mileage reimbursement provided)
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in challenging situations and handle difficult interactions without taking them personally
  • Flexibility to travel between sites and provide last-minute coverage as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in corporate reception, facilities coordination, or administrative support roles
  • Familiarity with building management systems or work order platforms
  • Knowledge of corporate security protocols and visitor management processes
  • Proven ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests and employees, issuing visitor badges and managing access in accordance with Dell security policies
  • Provide front desk coverage across Round Rock and Austin campuses, including lunches, breaks, and unplanned absences
  • Answer incoming calls and Teams messages, route inquiries, and respond to requests with professionalism and minimal supervision
  • Coordinate building service needs including janitorial, parking, conference room support, deliveries, and general workplace services
  • Create and track maintenance work orders; follow up to ensure timely resolution and communicate status updates
  • Conduct routine building safety and maintenance inspections as assigned
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Critical Contact Lists, and service documentation
  • Support team coverage and "floater" responsibilities across the portfolio to ensure continuity of service
