About The Position

This position is responsible for leading all aspects of plant facility and equipment maintenance in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position plans, executes, and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in methods, equipment, procedures and working conditions. This position drives continuous improvement through the plant operation and may lead others as necessary to maintain a high level of morale.

Requirements

Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good people skills, good attitude, and the ability to operate as part of a team.
Ability to weld and fabricate various metals.
Effectively communicate and understand both verbal and written instructions.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least five years of maintenance experience required.

Nice To Haves

Mechanical, electrical & plumbing construction experience.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in construction / maintenance.
An accountable attitude with a commitment to accuracy.
Experience applying Lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement.
Detail oriented and comfortable with manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

Balance safety, quality, cost, productivity and to achieve positive results in all areas.
Demonstrate commitment to an injury-free environment and safety and health management program.
Evaluate systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed and completes these tasks or coordinates with contractors/vendors as needed.
Properly operate power tools, and associated equipment.
Collaborate with team members to discuss upcoming work and coordinate schedules for maintenance work to have minimal impact on production.
Assist, coordinate, and execute installation of new equipment and/or equipment upgrades.
Ensure equipment is operational to support production and downtime is minimized. Establish preventive maintenance plans and emergency maintenance processes.
Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed safely, effectively, and in a timely manner for internal or external workers.
Create and execute a maintenance system for both facility and equipment.
Maintain records and coordinate all facility/plant equipment inspections, certifications, and audits.
Run 120/240/480 1 & 3 phase from panel to equipment in plant or device in housing module.
Maintain proper inventory levels of spare parts for maintaining the facility and equipment.
Lead meetings to communicate key maintenance or production topics and engage with the workforce.
Experienced in supervision and training working with metal fabrication; working knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques.
