About The Position

Under the supervision of the HVAC Supervisor, Zone East – the Building Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of heating, refrigeration and other building engineering equipment assigned under his care. The incumbent may be assigned to work in a hospital environment where building operations support patient care and research activities and may be required to respond to urgent operational requirements in a fast-paced environment. The incumbent will be required to wear a mask and other required personal protective equipment (PPE) when working in designated areas.

Requirements

  • Must possess valid certificates of Fourth Class Stationary Engineering along with a class “B” (Refrigeration Equipment Operations).
  • English and French functional spoken and read.
  • English or French functional written.
  • Authorized to work in Canada.
  • Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located.
  • Knowledge of English at a level 2 on a scale of 0-4.
