Requirements

• Must have at least one year experience in grounds keeping and/or janitorial service with basic maintenance and repair knowledge
• Must be professional
• Must be at least 23 years of age
• Valid Colorado driver's license or ability to obtain one with an acceptable motor vehicle record
• Applicants must successfully complete all required background screenings in accordance with Colorado Department of Human Services regulations, including criminal history checks, fingerprinting, abuse and neglect clearances, and any additional state-specific requirements.
• Direct care staff must also complete a health evaluation or physical examination prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance, plumbing, and electrical knowledge
• Lawn maintenance: mowing, fertilizing, planting, trimming, removal, etc.
• Carpet cleaning in facilities and vehicles
• Small repairs
• Coordinate and deliver food/supplies, assist in set-up for special events
• Assist in picking-up and storing donations
• Move furniture at facilities and storage units
• Drywall and paint facilities, and maintain upkeep and appearance (both interior and exterior) of all agency property
• Shovel snow and keep sidewalks free of hazard
• Check fluids in vans
