About The Position

The Building Operations Mechanic participates in the duties of maintaining a variety of plumbing, heating, air conditioning, mechanical and electrical systems for on-site buildings. Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies.

Requirements

5-8 years of related work experience required (working in healthcare preferred)
High school diploma/GED required
Trade school or other work experience.
Being a Building Operations Mechanic works under moderate supervision, has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.

Responsibilities

Performs skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures.
Recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required.
Develops, maintains, and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools.
Assists supervisors in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and workflow.
