About The Position

The Building Monitor provides security for the assigned division, reporting theft, vandalism, and any other unauthorized or illegal activity. This role serves as a contact point and access control for after-hours visitors. The Building Monitor patrols the Law Center, grounds, and parking lot during assigned hours to monitor for and report any unauthorized or illegal activity. They act as a contact point for students, staff, and faculty with security questions or concerns and as access control for visitors during assigned hours. This position may also be required to work during certain athletic events or other special events at the law school.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • High degree of professionalism.

Nice To Haves

  • First Aid and/or CPR training.
  • Experience in security.
