About The Position

At Lake Lumber, we are dedicated to helping people build their dreams. We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused Building Materials Inside Sales & Estimator to join our award-winning team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys serving others, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced environment. As an Inside Sales & Estimator, you will play a key role in helping customers successfully complete their projects by understanding their needs, preparing accurate estimates, selling building materials, managing projects from estimate to completion, and building long-term customer relationships through exceptional service.

Requirements

Knowledge of building materials and residential construction.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Sales experience, preferably in the building materials or construction industry.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn estimating software.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to help others.

Nice To Haves

The ability to read blueprints and perform material takeoffs (preferred, but we’re willing to train the right candidate).

Responsibilities

Meeting with homeowners, contractors, and builders to understand their project goals and product needs.
Preparing accurate material takeoffs, estimates, and quotes.
Selling building materials including decking, doors, windows, siding, roofing, lumber, and other home improvement products.
Managing projects from the initial estimate through ordering and completion.
Building long-term customer relationships through exceptional service and follow-up.
Using our proven sales process and technology to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
Collaborating with an experienced team of building materials professionals to ensure project success.
