About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring for a Building Maintenance position to support logistics and order fulfillment within the computer hardware industry at a new, climate-controlled facility in Olive Branch, MS. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational efficiency of the distribution warehouse facility. The position is on the Third (3rd) Shift, from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday, with a pay rate of $22.35 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential. Requirements

  • 2+ years of previous facility maintenance experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of dematic sorter, visual and sprocket system as well as conveyor systems with the ability to troubleshoot common issues.
  • Demonstrated PLC skills for trouble shooting electronics
  • Ability to perform general maintenance on AGV (Automated Guide Vehicles) or robotics such as battery or wheel equipment.
  • Basic Electrical trouble shooting skills

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and automated systems within a distribution warehouse facility, including conveyors, pallet wrap machines, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Change forklift and Automated Guide Vehicle (Robotics) batteries in a safe and proper manner.
  • Perform general facilities maintenance, installation, and repair.
  • Serve as a point of contact for external contractors and vendors performing work onsite.
  • Perform facilities maintenance tasks such as general repair, hanging signage and TVs, assembling furniture, wall repair/painting, repairing dock doors and levelers, and addressing minor plumbing issues.
  • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and replace warehouse lighting.
  • Maintain the trash/corrugate throughout the facility and monitor the Baler and Compactor.
  • Effectively communicate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment issues, proposed next steps, and resolution updates to site leadership.
  • Document unsafe batteries, leaking batteries, over-filled batteries, batteries with bare wires, and batteries lacking charges.
  • Document battery numbers, and in/out run times.
  • Track and order parts for repairs and tools as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with customer and company safe practices for battery changing.
  • Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain HVAC system.
  • Perform minor maintenance as needed for water and electrical repairs.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance programs.
  • Provide maintenance to material handling equipment to ensure service reliability.
  • Perform maintenance or general carpentry on items such as floors, walls, doors, etc.
  • Ensure all safety equipment is in proper working order.
  • Complete required reports when maintenance tasks are completed.
  • Answer security/alarm calls as needed.
