Building Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Creature Comforts Pet Resort is looking for a dependable, skilled, and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Technician to help maintain their two busy pet care facilities. This is a part-time position requiring travel between their Angola and Tonawanda locations. The role involves general building repairs and preventative maintenance, including drywall, painting, carpentry, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, fence, gate, kennel, and building repairs, landscaping, lawn care, mulching, seasonal grounds maintenance, snow removal, ice management, equipment maintenance, routine building inspections, identifying and correcting safety hazards, maintaining OSHA-conscious, safe working environments, assisting with facility improvement projects, and responding to maintenance requests. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and experience in multiple skilled trades. Applicants must be comfortable working around dogs of all breeds and sizes and enjoy being part of an animal-loving team.
Requirements
- Experience in general building maintenance and repair
- Knowledge of carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, and basic electrical work
- Experience operating landscaping and snow removal equipment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work indoors and outdoors in all seasons
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation between both facilities
- Comfortable working around dogs of all breeds and sizes
