About The Position

The Facilities Technician reports to the Facilities Manager and is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving building systems and equipment to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. This role supports daily facility operations by performing preventive maintenance, responding to service requests, and assisting with general building upkeep.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/ GED or Equivalent.
  • Clean background and Florida Driver’s License.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read manuals, schematics, and work orders.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or trade school training are preferred.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and maintenance software preferred.
  • 2+ years of facility maintenance or building maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and mechanical issues.
  • Responds promptly to maintenance requests and facility emergencies.
  • Maintains and repairs doors, locks, flooring, ceilings, walls, and office furniture.
  • Monitors facility systems for proper operation and report deficiencies.
  • Coordinates with outside vendors and contractors as needed.
  • Maintains maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records.
  • Ensures compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards.
  • Assists with office moves, event setup, and workspace modifications.
  • Operates maintenance tools, equipment, and vehicles safely.
  • Supports cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and storage rooms.
  • Participates in after-hours or on-call maintenance coverage when required.
