About The Position

We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Building Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for both preventive and corrective maintenance across our facility systems, critical utilities, and infrastructure. Operating within a cGMP-regulated environment that includes aseptic cleanrooms, you will ensure our critical operations remain 100% audit-ready, compliant, and continuously operational.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least 1 year of experience in a industrial, warehouse, or facilities maintenance role.
  • Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience in a cGMP, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or regulated distribution facility.
  • Ability to pass knowledge evaluations on 21 CFR Parts 210 and 211 requirements.
  • Ability to operate and pass certification on forklift equipment.
  • Comfortable working across ambient, cold storage (down to -30°C), and ISO-classified cleanroom environments.
  • Must be comfortable wearing full cleanroom gowning attire (coveralls, gloves, hood/face coverings) for extended periods in controlled environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and working at heights (ladders, aerial lifts) or in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Execute preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, compressed air, refrigeration, and general building systems.
  • Respond promptly to facility work orders, prioritizing tasks based on operational impact to prevent downtime.
  • Conduct routine inspections of building infrastructure and document findings using our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Support facility upgrades, capital expansion projects, and scheduled facility shutdowns.
  • Maintain cleanroom infrastructure, including HVAC air handling units (AHUs), HEPA filtration systems, pressure differential monitoring, and environmental controls.
  • Perform maintenance in ISO-classified cleanrooms (ISO 5–8) following strict gowning protocols, aseptic techniques, and contamination control procedures.
  • Execute all tasks in compliance with cGMP regulations (21 CFR Parts 210/211) and site SOPs.
  • Assist with Environmental Monitoring (EM) programs, alarm investigations (temperature/humidity/pressure excursions), and root-cause analyses.
  • Support quality governance by participating in Change Control, CAPA, and Deviation processes.
  • Maintain 100% audit-ready documentation across work orders, logbooks, and maintenance records using strict Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Adhere to all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space Entry, Hot Work, and chemical safety.
  • Promptly escalate out-of-specification conditions to leadership and Quality Assurance.
