About The Position

Kingsway Senior Living is a faith-based, non-profit senior living community committed to providing compassionate, resident-centered care. We take pride in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Building Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day operations of our campus. This role is responsible for maintaining building systems, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe and well-functioning environment for our residents.

Requirements

  • C-2 Boiler License required (Or must obtain within 6 months)
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Experience in building maintenance, mechanical systems, or a skilled trade preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and technical documents
  • Basic math and recordkeeping skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Commitment to providing respectful, resident-centered service
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Exposure to equipment, machinery, dust, and temperature changes
  • Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

  • Company will pay for the cost of testing and license. $1/hr pay increase upon completion

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, equipment, and furnishings
  • Inspect and repair items such as beds, wheelchairs, HVAC systems, and other facility equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Complete general maintenance tasks (light changes, minor repairs, trash removal, etc.)
  • Assist with painting, carpentry, and structural repairs
  • Assist with outdoor grounds including mowing, trimming, snow removal, and shoveling.
  • Monitor boilers, ventilation, refrigeration, and other operating systems to ensure proper function
  • Conduct safety checks, including fire detection and prevention systems
  • Transport supplies and materials throughout the facility
  • Maintain accurate logs of maintenance work, inspections, and equipment readings
  • Interact respectfully with residents, staff, and visitors at all times
