What You’ll Do As a Senior Building Maintenance Technician, you’ll help keep our facility and critical building systems operating safely and reliably. This is a hands-on position where you’ll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, respond to facility needs, and help ensure uninterrupted operations. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a variety of systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical equipment, building automation systems, and specialized laboratory equipment, while gaining valuable experience within a GMP environment.

In this role, you will:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems and equipment.
Support the operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before they impact operations.
Troubleshoot building and equipment problems and help implement effective solutions.
Work with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to monitor equipment and document maintenance activities.
Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and equipment documentation.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment performance.
Partner with team members and other departments to resolve facility and equipment issues.
Follow established safety procedures and help maintain a safe, compliant work environment.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment reliability and facility performance.
Develop your knowledge of facility systems and equipment while working alongside experienced technical professionals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience in commercial facility maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
• Experience with building automation systems (BMS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.
• Flexibility to work different shifts and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Nice To Haves

• Developed skills through hands-on work experience, technical education, trade programs, apprenticeships, or a combination of these experiences.
• Education or training in mechanical and/or electrical trades or related technical fields.
• Experience with PLC systems and controls.
• Knowledge of water purification systems and steam generation.
