About The Position

The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of various building systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. This role also manages building security needs, oversees subcontracted work, and establishes health and safety procedures in accordance with OSHA standards and company policies. The technician will utilize their full technical knowledge of facility systems and preventative maintenance practices to ensure smooth operations and support facility projects. Routine maintenance tasks include electrical and plumbing repair, HVAC service, and grounds keeping. Employment is contingent upon passing a drug and alcohol screening, a favorable background check, and a physical examination. Requirements

  • 5 years related work experience
  • Experience in industrial/commercial equipment maintenance and repair equipment required
  • Experience with plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, security and computer systems
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while managing multiple activities
  • Good communication, organizational, problem solving, and listening skills
  • Handle basic maintenance, repairs and cleaning
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
  • Able to work without direct supervision
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods during shift
  • Passing pre-employment drug and alcohol screen
  • Receiving a favorable background check
  • Pass a physical examination

Responsibilities

  • Inspection, maintenance, and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Manage all building security needs, such as maintaining card access systems and security camera systems
  • Provides oversight and selection of subcontracted work
  • Establish and communicate health and safety procedures in accordance with OSHA standards and company policies
  • Perform routine building maintenance to include but not limit to electrical and plumbing repair, HVAC service, and grounds keeping
  • Collaborate and coordinate with management staff to ensure a smooth operation
  • Support development or improvement of existing and future facility projects
