About The Position

Eldora Mountain Resort is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician Level 2 to perform routine building maintenance and repair work across resort facilities. This is a developing technician role that requires basic maintenance experience, the ability to complete assigned tasks with limited supervision, and the judgment to escalate more complex repairs. The technician will support daily operations, preventative maintenance, snow removal, grounds work, and general facility upkeep while building skills for advancement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic working knowledge of carpentry, drywall, plumbing, painting, doors, hardware, and general repairs.
  • Ability to complete routine maintenance tasks with limited supervision and identify when to escalate issues.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, snow removal equipment, and approved other maintenance equipment.
  • Must have a valid US Driver’s License and complete an MVR check to company standards.
  • Minimum age 18 years old to drive company vehicles.
  • Basic computer and mobile device skills required for work orders, communication, training, and company systems.
  • Flexible schedule required, including weekends, holidays, early mornings, evenings, and weather-driven shifts.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, reliability, and willingness to continue developing maintenance skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous building maintenance, construction, trades, facilities, or resort operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs including carpentry, drywall, plumbing, painting, doors, hardware, fixtures, and appliance support.
  • Complete assigned work orders with limited supervision and communicate status, material needs, or issues that require additional support.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance inspections and facility checks.
  • Support snow removal, sanding, trash removal, signage, exterior maintenance, and seasonal grounds work.
  • Respond to facility concerns in a timely, professional manner to help maintain safe, clean, and functional resort spaces.
  • Safely operate approved tools, equipment, and company vehicles within training and company standards.
  • Assist higher-level technicians, supervisors, and contractors with larger repairs, projects, inspections, and operational needs.
  • Follow company safety policies, use proper PPE, and maintain a safe work environment for employees, guests, and work crews.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required by resort operations.
