About The Position

Under general supervision, perform skilled work involving the operation, maintenance, repair, alteration, and additions to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical building systems, building furnishings, and site improvements. This role involves assisting in preventative/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and operating various types of HVAC-related equipment, emergency generators, and general building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in accordance with industry standards and codes. The position also includes performing general building maintenance and repair related to drywall, masonry, painting, ceilings, roofing, tile, carpets, windows, and other related items. You will monitor and/or assist others, including contractors, in maintenance, construction, and operation activities, ensuring compliance with contract terms, company safety, security, environmental, and conduct rules. General housekeeping duties, furniture assembly/repair, snow removal, storm cleanup, lawn maintenance, spill cleanup, and inventory management are also part of the responsibilities. You will procure necessary parts and materials economically and maintain records, including inspection documentation, submitting reports as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum one (1) year relevant experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing or carpentry.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state drivers' license.
  • This job requires "recommended" test results from HireVue General Virtual Job Tryout.
  • Physical demand level is Medium.
  • Must be willing to pursue the certification.
  • Overtime required.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
  • Scheduled as well as unscheduled, weekend and evening shift work may be required.
  • Will be expected to respond to emergency call out work.
  • Requires working indoors and outdoors in all weather.
  • Requires the ability to utilize a computer.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrician or HVAC license or CFC refrigerant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing preventative/predictive maintenance on, troubleshooting, repairing, installing and operating various types of HVAC-related equipment, emergency generators, and general building mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems in accordance with industry standards and mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building codes.
  • Perform general building maintenance and repair related to drywall, masonry, painting, ceilings, roofing, tile, carpets, windows and other related items.
  • Monitor the work of and/or assist others, including contractors, engaged in maintenance, construction and operation activities.
  • Ensure work is completed in compliance with contract terms and conditions and in accordance with company safety, security, environmental and conduct rules.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as required, such as, assemble, move, repair, hang and adjust furniture, wall hangings, doors, windows and other office items, assist in snow removal, storm damage cleanup, lawn maintenance, spill cleanup, inventory management.
  • Procure necessary quality parts and material in the most economical and accepted manner, with guidance from supervisor.
  • Maintain records, including inspection documentation, and submit reports as required.
