Building Maintenance Leader
About The Position
We are looking for a Building Maintenance Leader to join our team in Southfield, MI. This is a Monday-Friday role with occassional Saturdays. You will have a team of 2 employees and 2 contractors and will work on projects as well. BASF’s Coatings division is a global expert in the development, production and marketing of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings. There is at least one BASF coating layer on every second car produced! In this role, you'll lead a team of professionally diverse maintenance techs to maintain and continuously improve BASF Southfield site. This is a hands-on role with time equally shared between performing work and follow up activities associated to the teams work. Your extensive experience will allow you to not only lead, but also coordinate, oversee and/or manage repair and maintenance work assignments performed by technicians, vendors and contractors performing building maintenance, construction, and other building improvement activities. Salary range commiserate with experience with range estimated $86k-$92k. What you'll do:
Requirements
- Have a High school diploma/GED or professional license, technical/trade certification or degree.
- Have 10+ years of recent related building maintenance experience. (masonry, landscaping, penumatics, pumps, plumbing/leaks, general construction, etc.)
- Must have current supervisory experience.
- Must have daily functioning computer skills, including MS Office.
- Are willing to work overtime at least one Saturday a month.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize work orders and accomplish them in a timely manner.
- Develop execution strategy for new constructions regarding material, labor and how to accomplish the related plans.
- Ensure work is performed safely and maintain compliance with BASF RC Audit concerns.
- Provide professional guidance to maintenance techs such as coaching, teaching and instructing.
- Ensure PMs are completed according to maintenance program.
- Create operational expense projects to ensure site remains in good working order.
