About The Position

Perform necessary repairs and maintenance to the office and facility buildings to support safe and efficient operations. Duties include, but are not limited to: General building maintenance and repairs Painting, plumbing, and limited janitorial work Low-voltage electrical work Rack installation and repair Dock and door maintenance Welding and basic fabrication Ammonia refrigeration system upkeep Compliance with all US Foods and government safety guidelines when working on equipment, including Lockout/Tagout, placarding, required documentation, and maintaining a safe work environment Responsibility for company tools and maintenance equipment, including inventory tracking, safe operation, proper storage, and security of the tool area Maintain a basic personal tool set and toolbox; may purchase tools or supplies from local vendors when authorized to complete job duties Willingness to work occasional nights, weekends, or be on-call as business needs require WORK SCHEDULE Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Requirements

  • Minimum of six (6) months of prior mechanic or maintenance experience required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of equipment repair and operation
  • Experience with painting, plumbing, low-voltage electrical work, and welding
  • Ability to read and write legibly
  • Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Additional mechanical training or trade school education preferred
