About The Position

Healthcare Realty Trust is recruiting for an experienced on-site Maintenance Engineer for medical office buildings in Mission Viejo, CA. This role involves performing assigned repairs, building upkeep duties, and emergency and preventive maintenance in a timely manner. The engineer will also be responsible for completing maintenance and repair records and assigned work orders. The position requires basic Microsoft Office skills and the use of personal computers and smartphones for work order systems and email. Excellent organization, verbal, written, and multi-tasking skills are essential, as is the ability to read blueprints. The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, is flexible, focuses on creating a positive and welcoming impression, and is a self-sufficient team player. The role also includes on-call duties approximately every five weeks and travel to buildings within 25 miles of the metropolitan area.

Requirements

Minimum of Five (5) years' experience in facilities maintenance
Thorough understanding of Building Automation Systems, electrical systems, controls, condensing boilers, package rooftop HVAC, variable air volume systems, chemical treatment, emergency generation equipment, plumbing, transfer switches and life safety systems.
Basic skills with Microsoft Office.
Excellent organization, verbal, written and multi-tasking skills.
Must be able to read blueprints.
Must be self-sufficient, team player.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders.

Nice To Haves

Licensure or trade certification a plus.

Responsibilities

Performs assigned repairs; building upkeep duties as needed (periodic pressure washing and leaf blowing as needed); emergency and preventive maintenance in a timely manner.
Completes maintenance and repair records as required.
Completes assigned work orders in a timely manner.
