About The Position

Building Level Computer Technician Part A: Position Requirements Position Title: Building Level Computer Technician Purpose of Position: To provide technical support to facilitate the effective and efficient use of technology at the schools. Position Organizational Relationships: Is under the general direction of the Director and Assistant Director of Technology. Position performance is appraised annually by the Director of Technology and the Principal. Assigned to school; part of school staff. Terms of Employment: Employed to work 12 months per calendar year; 40 hours per week. $18.00/hr and benefits, with an increase to $20.00 with certifications.

Requirements

  • Technical training in the use of the internet and installation of hardware and software, and/relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with the internet, networks, Apple, and Windows platforms.
  • Demonstrated aptitude or competence for the responsibilities assigned to this position.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supports the District's student 1:1 initiative and staff devices.
  • Ability to formulate, communicate, and execute timelines for all plans that affect the use of any devices in the schools.
  • Set up and support any audio/video systems and setups
  • Install software applications consistent with District software standards and licensing guidelines.
  • Provides service and projects a positive and professional appearance to all stakeholders with a positive, supportive demeanor.
  • Communicates effectively and appropriately, as well as exhibits patience and understanding with staff and students.
  • Understands and follows verbal and written instructions.
  • Monitor the functioning of technology hardware in the schools.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Director of Technology and the Assistant Director of Technology.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing educational publications, establishing personal networks, or participating in professional affiliations.
  • Achieves any vendor certifications identified by the Director of Technology or Assistant Director of Technology.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Benefits

  • $18.00/hr and benefits, with an increase to $20.00 with certifications.
