About The Position

Aoka is hiring a full-time Building Inspector in Waxahachie, Texas. The inspector oversees construction projects to ensure they meet approved plans, specifications, building codes, and safety standards. The role involves reviewing project documents, attending pre-construction meetings, coordinating with contractors and local authorities, maintaining records, preparing reports, and answering client and contractor questions. The inspector also participates in training and company initiatives. Aoka provides proprietary software, VertexPlans, for plan reviews, inspections, and reporting, and supports professional growth through company-funded additional certifications.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in building inspections.
• Current ICC certifications.
• TSBPE Plumbing Inspector License required in Texas.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
• Organized record-keeping skills.
• Willingness to learn new inspection software.
