About The Position
Under general supervision, the Building Inspector inspects building construction to ensure safe and proper design and/or compliance with the design and applicable building codes, ordinances and approved plans; to include but not limited to the International Building Code, International Plumbing Code, International Mechanical Code, International Gas Code, International Energy Code and National Electrical Code. Employee must be responsible for the approval of all aspects of building construction inspections. Employee authorizes the continuation of actual construction.
Requirements
- Knowledge of International Building Code, International Plumbing Code, International Mechanical Code, International Gas Code, International Energy Code and National Electrical Code.
- Ability to approve all aspects of building construction inspections.
- Ability to authorize the continuation of actual construction.
Responsibilities

- Ensures compliance with International Building Code, International Plumbing Code, International Mechanical Code, International Gas Code, International Energy Code and National Electrical Code.
