About The Position

Martin/Martin is seeking a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Intern to support of projects in our Denver office. The hired individual will support the Structural Engineering Group and have opportunities to work on a variety of structures throughout the Denver area. We strive to develop our staff both technically and professionally through our mentoring programs. Additionally, each project presents unique challenges and opportunities to learn and grow as a technician. The successful candidate will develop expertise in a broad range of BIM skills, demonstrate a willingness to learn, work as part of a team, and produce high-quality designs for our clients. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or has obtained a High School Diploma (or GED equivalent)
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Eager to learn
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and ask questions as needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Currently pursuing a certificate, Associate’s Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree in a curriculum featuring Revit
  • Experience with Revit Structure

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with creating plans, sections, elevations, 3D views, details, and schedules from the model
  • Assisting in project set-up, including importing reference details, editing general notes, creating new file(s) and managing and linking external files
  • Maintaining internal and external modeling and drafting standards on projects
  • Communicates in a professional manner
