About The Position

This role is responsible for coordinating and providing equipment and facility set-up for meetings, conferences, and special events. The specialist will also provide customer service to building patrons, monitor facility use to ensure policy conformance, and perform facility maintenance and cleaning. The position involves applying basic skills while developing specialized skills in various facility-related procedures and operations, performing routine tasks with limited decision-making under close supervision.

Requirements

  • Ability to work all Bronco home football games and other Bronco team sporting events as assigned.
  • Ability to work on external and special events as assigned.
  • May be required to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Sufficient speech and hearing acuity to perform customer service activities.
  • Some knowledge of adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers.
  • Experience providing customer service.
  • Experience explaining and applying policies and procedures.
  • Experience using tools, equipment, materials, and common practices used in facility preparation, including custodial work.
  • Experience setting work priorities.
  • Experience interpreting written and oral instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year of building maintenance and facility operations.
  • Commercial building maintenance, remodel techniques, and procedures.
  • A valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for securing areas of assignment on a predetermined schedule, including turning out lights and locking doors.
  • Operate Fork Lifts and miscellaneous hand tools.
  • Utilize proper methods, materials, supplies, and procedures in all phases of duties performed.
  • Provide backup services for other vacant positions at the combined area facilities.
  • Move office furniture, paint walls, and perform other light maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and work availability.
  • Interpret event documents and diagrams to determine event needs, prioritize work sequencing, and determine equipment to remain, considering current and future meeting room usage.
  • Identify or anticipate problems and take corrective action.
  • Apply knowledge of fire safety codes and ADA guidelines to set up seating, tables, staging, program aids, and equipment.
  • Set up and troubleshoot audio-visual operations including sound and lighting equipment such as sound systems, wireless microphones, mixers, video and data projectors, and connect telephone and audio data lines.
  • Recommend service improvements for all areas of the facility.
  • Monitor and control facility environment including HVAC and lighting.
  • Observe facility and equipment to ensure compliance with risk management objectives and public safety.
  • Observe, respond to, and report unusual occurrences such as theft, vandalism, illness, and drug and alcohol related problems.
  • Recommend safety and security solutions.
  • Provide customer service and communicate with facility users to ensure event needs are met.
  • Assess and resolve customer complaints.
  • Assist customers and visitors with directions and information regarding events.
  • Use feedback to report program success and customer satisfaction.
  • Evacuate customers in emergencies.
  • May perform other duties as needed.
