About The Position

NOVA Engineering and Environmental is seeking an experienced Building Envelope Project Consultant (Project Manager) to support our Kennesaw, GA operations. This position is ideal for a seasoned building enclosure professional located in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan areas who enjoys managing complex projects, leading technical teams, building client relationships, and delivering high-quality consulting services. This role offers the opportunity to oversee diverse building envelope projects involving roofing, waterproofing, facades, fenestration, forensic investigations, remedial design, quality assurance, and performance testing for commercial, healthcare, educational, institutional, industrial, and multi-family facilities. The Building Envelope Project Manager serves as the primary client contact and project leader for a variety of building enclosure consulting assignments. Responsibilities include project management, technical oversight, client development, forensic investigations, remedial design, quality assurance observations, and construction-phase services related to roofing, waterproofing, facades, windows, and other enclosure systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client expectations while providing technical guidance and mentoring junior staff. This position combines leadership, business development, and technical expertise to support the continued growth of NOVA's Facilities and Building Envelope practice.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6+ years of progressive experience in building envelope consulting, roofing, waterproofing, architecture, engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated project management experience including budgeting, scheduling, client communications, and technical oversight.
  • Strong background in building enclosure systems, remedial design, investigations, and construction administration.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and multidisciplinary teams simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of roofing, waterproofing, facade systems, windows, curtain walls, air barriers, and moisture management principles.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) preferred but not required.
  • IIBEC certifications are preferred: Registered Roof Observer (RRO), Registered Roof Consultant (RRC), Registered Exterior Wall Observer (REWO), Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC), Registered Exterior Wall Consultant (REWC), etc

Responsibilities

  • Manage building envelope consulting projects from proposal through final deliverable, ensuring quality, profitability, and client satisfaction.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.
  • Lead and perform building enclosure assessments, roofing evaluations, property condition assessments, moisture investigations, and forensic studies.
  • Develop and oversee remedial design solutions and construction documents for roofing, waterproofing, facade, curtain wall systems, glazing systems, and enclosure rehabilitation projects.
  • Conduct and manage peer reviews of architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and submittments related to enclosure systems.
  • Lead investigations involving water intrusion, enclosure failures, roofing deficiencies, constructability concerns, and building performance issues.
  • Oversee field testing of roofing, waterproofing, fenestration, curtain wall, and facade systems in accordance with ASTM, AAMA, TAS, and ANSI standards.
  • Perform quality assurance observations and construction-phase consulting services to evaluate compliance with contract documents, manufacturer requirements, and industry standards.
  • Prepare proposals, reports, specifications, repair recommendations, budgets, project schedules, and client correspondence.
  • Mentor and develop junior consultants, architects, engineers, and technicians.
  • Support business development initiatives through client relationship management, networking, proposal preparation, and identification of new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with NOVA leadership to support growth of the Building Envelope and Facilities Consulting practice.
