About The Position

HDR is seeking an experienced professional to serve as the North Texas Building Engineering Services (BES) Project Delivery Leader (PDL). Reporting to the North Texas BES Business Group Manager (BGM), the PDL works with the BGM to promote consistent project management processes and provide quality oversight of project delivery across the business group. The role collaborates with business group leadership on project management skills development, career paths, and staff mentorship. Direct reports may include local program managers, project managers, commercial managers, and collaborative delivery leads. The PDL maintains direct knowledge of HDR project management tools and collaborates with, trains, and mentors staff in their implementation and use. The role also supports recruiting and retention, project oversight and management reviews, financial performance, project quality assurance and control, and continuous improvement of project delivery practices. The position works with business group operations and other leaders to coordinate processes consistent with Area and corporate policy and delegated authority.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
At least 10 years of related experience.
At least 5 years of project management experience.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, and project management software.
Ability to interact with various design teams.
Excellent organizational, project management, and written and verbal communication skills.
Commitment to actively participating in HDR's employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

Promote, monitor, and develop project management skills and quality best practices for BES staff across the Area.
Provide project management team organization and leadership for projects across the business group.
Monitor project QC review activities, including assignment of experienced and qualified reviewers.
Lead and monitor continuous improvement of project management, including development and use of technical standards, procedures, best practices, and lessons learned.
Lead quality assurance efforts to implement QA/QC program activities and support continuous improvement.
Collaborate with business group operations, market leadership and sectors, business classes, and Professional Services Leaders.
Perform delegated matrix of authority (MOA) responsibilities from the Business Group Manager.
Work with the Business Group Manager to streamline and coordinate business processes consistent with the Area, corporate policy, and MOA.
Assist with daily operations, including project oversight, management reviews, financials, and project-level profitability.
Develop and implement standard project delivery practices, procedures, and approaches.
Participate in 0% reviews, project reviews, and PARRs, and support project teams with management of claims and losses.
Track project financials and coordinate or adjust work effort with project teams to ensure work is completed within agreed budget and schedule parameters.
Collaborate with, train, and mentor staff on implementation and use of HDR project management tools.
Support recruiting and retention efforts for the program.
Perform other duties as needed.
