About The Position

The Building Engineer (Off-Campus Properties) is responsible for working directly with the Building Engineer Supervisor and the Real Estate Department in implementing the energy management, preventive maintenance, quality standards, and operating objectives of all off-campus properties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 3 years of relevant property and building maintenance experience
  • Working knowledge of various building mechanical systems
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral of diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • CFC 1 and 2 certifications are required
  • CFC 3 (Universal) must be obtained within 90 days after hire
  • Ability to obtain other city required licenses as needed
  • Must meet standards for use of company owned vehicle set forth in policy manual and comply with the policies

  • Education in lieu of a portion of experience may be considered
