The Building Engineer ensures all facilities related equipment is maintained to the highest standards in the Hard Services line. Additionally, the Building Engineer will partner with the Site Operations Supervisor, the Senior Building Engineer, the Chief Engineer, and Hard Service team to promote collective success across all service lines (hard, soft, and operational) and embody the OneISS (one team) methodology of facility operations. Must have a strong electrical background and an electrical license. The purpose of this role is to drive optimization and maintenance of facilities for clients, customers, and staff in a safe operating condition; execute a best practice preventative and reactive maintenance program; and resolve immediate operational and/or building safety concerns. The Building Engineer utilizes advanced skills (general and trade specific) to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds. Working under supervision, the Building Engineer monitors building system operations and performance and completes self-performance of specific and/or several trade skills such as electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, roofing, refrigeration, heating, and cooling.
