About The Position

Seeking an onsite skilled building engineer who is reliable, meticulous, and possesses strong technical skills in trades such as mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and electricity. Should also demonstrate the ability to work effectively alone or within a team environment. The position requires building a strong relationship with board of directors, homeowners, residents, and staff to assure a high-quality living environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a maintenance engineer or similar.
  • Proficient working knowledge in mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, carpentry techniques, drywall repairs and painting.
  • Possesses the ability to efficiently manage workplace issues, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and resolving problems as required.
  • Experienced in operating both hand and power tools.
  • Proficient in driving utility vehicles and towing.
  • Successfully pass pre-employment screenings and background/reference checks.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, crouch, for long periods of time, walk up and down multiple flights of stairs often, climb ladders, work in weather and lift heavy materials (50 – 100lbs).
  • A valid Driver’s License accepted by the state of Utah is required.
  • High school or equivalent diploma or professional certifications (e.g., CPO, CMRP, or HVAC certification).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems through a preventive maintenance program.
  • Complete work orders.
  • Conduct walk throughs of the property and coordinate repair and replacement activities.
  • Accountable for day-to-day maintenance operations reporting to building manager.
  • Oversee all facets of the daily operations on the building, ensuring compliance with HOA policies and governmental requirements.
  • Track inventory levels of materials.
  • Maintain quality standards and follow health and safety.
