About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Building Engineer to join the Farbman Group team. The Building Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting building systems to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for tenants and staff.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in building engineering or related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in building maintenance or engineering, preferably in commercial properties.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance.
Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
Familiarity with safety standards and building codes.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call and weekends as needed.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Respond promptly to building service requests and emergencies to minimize downtime and disruptions.
Monitor building systems and equipment for efficiency and proper operation.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repairs.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment status, and inventory.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Assist in the preparation and management of maintenance budgets.
