About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a variety of skilled tasks in the maintenance, repair, and operation of building systems and equipment. This includes HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems to ensure a safe and efficient operating environment. The role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues related to building systems, as well as performing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment. The Building Engineer I will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and building codes.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

Vocational or technical school training in a related field.
Certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.
Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS).

Responsibilities

Perform routine and emergency repairs on building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
Conduct preventative maintenance on building equipment and systems.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with building systems and recommend solutions.
Operate and maintain building systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
Respond to service calls and work orders in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inventory.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
